The General Secretary of the People’s National Party (PNP) and Member of Parliament for South East St Andrew, Julian Robinson, in condemning the killing of Constable Nicaldo Green, said attacks of this nature are worrisome.
Green, who was assigned to the Stadium Police Station located in Robinson’s constituency, was shot dead at his home in Greater Portmore, St Catherine last night.
In visiting the police station today, Robinson conveyed the condolences of party leader Dr Peter Phillips to his colleagues and said attacks of this nature on personnel or institutions of law and order are worrisome signs.
Robinson urged the officers to be strong and to remember Green as a young cop filled with principles and passion for service and to leave no stone unturned as they seek to apprehend the perpetrators, as the society must bring an end to the wave of criminal activity affecting the entire country.
He took the opportunity to encourage lawmen to continue engaging the citizens of the constituency in the fight against crime.
