Jamaican’s and members of The People’s National Party (PNP) are still today in shock and mourning with following the shooting death of former Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller’s Secretary at the constituency office in South West St Andrew on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Maxine Simpson,no conformation or details indicating that the deceased is related to
the former priminister Portia Simpson Miller.
The shooting incident also resulted in Karl Blake, the party’s Councillor for the Greenwich Town Division, who is widely expected to replace Simpson Miller as Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, being shot and wounded.
Blake has been hospitalized, and has undergone emergency surgery for a number of gunshot wounds.

In tweets from some members of the party on Sunday night, they expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and advised of their prayers for Blake’s recovery.
